Geguri: First Female Competing in Blizzard’s Overwatch League

According to ESPN, the Overwatch League is set to see their first female player by way of the Shanghai Dragons. Her name is Kim “Geguri” Se-yeon, formerly a member of the ROX Orcas.

The news has not been announced officially yet, but is intended to be confirmed in the next few weeks. If the deal goes through, Geguri will one of a few players to hopefully turn Shanghai around. The team is currently last in the standings with a 4-33 map record, 0-8 match record, and zero match victories.

Geguri is expected to be joined by Element Mystic tank captain Lee “Fearless” Eui-Seok and MVP Space flex Cheon “Ado” Ki-hyun, as well as an unknown Chinese player. Fans are already excited for the arrival of Geguri to Shanghai.

The Shanghai Dragons have two matches left in Stage One against the Dallas Fuel and the Los Angeles Valiant.
